Serve and Protect is a main story mission in Far Cry 5. It takes place in Faith Seed's region of Henbane River. This mission is similar to The Scattered Flock in that it tasks players with locating and freeing hostages across the county. Probably not worth concentrating on, as any hostage situation counts toward completing it, even side missions. Players will receive the mission from Sheriff
How To Start The Mission. You don't get informed that this is a mission, but all you have to do is to shoot the sign. Once you do that, you will get the mission, which is to destroy the whole sign. It's best to do with a helicopter. This actually updates the map too, so you can't see the sign on the map anymore, which is a nice detail.
Location: Silver Lake Boathouse. There’s only one Prepper Stash on Dutch’s Island and it should be the first you’ll enter in Far Cry 5. You can find it at the Silver Lake Boathouse. Check the shed just inland from the boathouse and you’ll find a note by the door to activate the quest. From there, head to the boathouse and jump in the water.
