A lvl 2 player has the same stats as a lvl 80. If you don't like PvE you don't have to step foot in it. You can lvl exclusively from PvP (thanks to Tomes of Knowledge that you get from Reward Tracks) It's best to try classes in PvP and find one that suits you. There are many off-meta builds that can work up until Gold 3 in Ranked.
